2:40 p.m The LP Perspective: Investing in Funds that Address Women’s Health

To continue growing, the field needs LPs to invest in funds that include women’s health among their focus areas. While larger LPs have been unable to deploy their minimum check sizes in the historically small dedicated women’s health funds, they are increasingly active in funds that include women’s health among their priority areas. This panel features a discussion with LPs and will give insight into some of the drivers guiding their decisions. We will discuss what LPs are looking for, requirements that must be met, strategic priorities, and the approach to the broader topic of women’s health inside of their organizations.

3:10 p.m Investor Spotlight, Saul Katz, Investor and benefactor, Katz Institute for Women’s Health, Founding Chairman of the Board at Northwell

4:00 p.m. VCs Driving Growth - Funding Companies in Women’s Health

This panel features some of the most active VC investors in the women’s health space. Google Ventures has invested more in women’s health companies than the sum of the current dedicated microfunds combined and the AHA fund is currently the largest announced dedicated fund. MVM has been active with a number of recent women’s health exits in their portfolio. This panel discussion will explore what investors are looking for in women’s health companies, examples of recent deals, and a discussion of where and when VC investment is best suited for companies in this space.

4:35 p.m Research Insights: News from the Largest Study on Women in the US

Dr. Elizabeth Cohn, Iris and Saul Katz Chair of Women's Health Research, VP Health Equity Research, Northwell

4:50 p.m. Industry Investments - Building New Markets in Women’s Health

Though they may not be using the words “women’s health,” these public company leaders are making big, long-term bets in fields that differently, disproportionately, and exclusively impact women. This includes autoimmune, oncology, dermatology, cardiovascular disease, brain health, and more. This panel will provide insights into some of the recent investments that industry leaders are making, the role of sex based differences, the market opportunity, and more.

5:20 p.m Exits - Acquisitions and Roll-ups in the Women’s Health Field
We started today with LPs that invest in VCs, then VCs that invest in companies, then companies that invest in building the field. Our last panel of the day focuses on the exits. We feature leaders that have recently worked on private equity roll-ups and strategic acquisitions in the women’s health space. We will hear insights from recent deals, and a discussion of learnings. What will drive future acquisitions? What type of exits can companies in this space look forward to?

5:50 p.m. Ecosystem Updates and Closing Remarks

6:15-7:30 Networking Reception
